Beers to all,
I thought I would relate the following:
The wife and I rented a couple of movies over the Labor Day weekend. One of the movies was a low budget biker movie called "Lone Hero" starring Lou Diamond Phillips as a bad-ass outlaw biker that rides in to terrorize a small town. Being the avid motorcycle fanatic that I am, of course I look at the details of a bike when I see one in the movies. About half-way into the flick when the outlaw gang leader "Bart" (Lou Diamond) brings in his gang, they start riding into town, doing circles and donuts and all the other things that biker gang actors do in the movies. I suddenly tell the wife "freeze that frame"! She says, "what for?" I say, "just go back to that last scene and freeze it and tell me what you see". So she does this and stares at it for a minute. All of a sudden she squeals out, "Hey, there's my Savage!" We started busting up. Sure enough, plain as day, was a Savage as Bart strolls by it. Not only that, but as the film goes on we discover that there are probably three or four Savages used in the flick. Wait, it gets better. At the films climax, Bart himself storms around riding through wood doors and on the porches of buildings on the town's main street on nothing other than (you guessed it) a black Suzuki Savage! We got such a kick out of this that afterword (ok, so we had a few glasses of wine) with our bandannass and Harley vests, strolled out to the garage and sat on our bikes and played outlaws. So next time someone snickers at your Savage, just tell'em Bart rides a Savage too. That'll shut'em up. Thought some of you might get a kick out this story. Have fun. Ride safe.
